2018 report

Saturday 14th April saw the 37th edition of the Teignmouth Rapidplay.

The Open section was won by Paul Hampton from Seaton. Paul is something of a specialist in Rapidplay as he has a Rapidplay grade 19 points higher than his Standard play grade. By winning the trophy, Paul completed the 'double' of winning both Rapidplay tournaments held in Devon this season.

The Graded section (U140) was shared between Rob Wilby, Matt Penn, and Anthony Dunford.

Anthony Dunford continued the success Exeter University have enjoyed in recent years, as did Sara-Ann Ang whom won a grading prize in the Open, and the Exeter University team whom won the team prize.

The grading prize (U105) in the Graded section was won by Anthony Austin (4/6) and James Gibbs (4/6) won the Junior prize.

A mention should also go to 12 year old Yuyang Wang, whom got a draw against Dominic Mackle.
